The shrub has a rounded, dense shape and reaches a height of 45–120 cm. The foliage retains its variegated coloring throughout the entire growing season.

The plant produces tubular pink flowers. The variety is winter hardy down to -25...-27 °C, suitable for cultivation in containers, borders, and small gardens, prefers sun or partial shade and well-drained soils.
