Variety description

The shrub is characterized by a broad, upright, and compact growth habit. Leaves are elliptic, opposite, with serrated margins, maintaining a dark purple or bronze-purple color throughout the season. The flowers are deep dark pink or blood-red and funnel-shaped.

The main flowering period occurs from May to June–July, with a possible second flush of flowering in late summer. The plant has winter hardiness down to -25°C, prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations and well-drained humus-rich soils, and is sensitive to soil drying.

The variety tolerates pruning well and is used in gardening as a specimen plant, in mixed borders, for creating hedges, or for cultivation in containers.
