The variety is a compact deciduous shrub with a height of 30 to 75 cm with a rounded dense crown. One of the main characteristics is variegated leaves with a green center, a creamy-white border, and pink shades along the edges.

Flowering with tubular purple-pink flowers occurs in late spring — early summer, with a possible sparse repeat wave. The plant is adapted to hardiness zones 4–8, prefers sunny locations to maintain leaf coloration, and is resistant to diseases and pests provided soil drainage requirements are met.
