Inflorescences have a blood-purple color, sometimes with apricot-orange shades or a yellowish base. Flower size is 5–10 cm in diameter with a length of about 8.5–9 cm. Leathery green leaves are covered with light silvery spots. Plant height varies from 45 to 90 cm depending on growing conditions.

The variety produces from 2 to 15 flower stalks from a single corm. The plant prefers fertile, moderately moist, and well-drained soil. In cold climates, it requires digging up the tubers for the winter period. It is used in landscape design and floristry due to its long-lasting decorative appearance.
