The flowers of the variety have a striking deep burgundy-red color with a light golden hue on the upper margin. The plant forms bright green flower stalks, the length of which when cut varies from 40 to 70 cm depending on growing conditions.

The variety is part of the specialized 'Captain Series'. It is a heat-loving crop that requires protection from frost and prefers well-drained moist soils and locations with good lighting, from full sun to partial shade.
