The BC 420 hybrid is a double-cross hybrid intended for grain cultivation. The variety was officially registered and included in breeding registers in the 1970s.
At present, detailed agronomic characteristics of the plant are practically absent from open sources. The hybrid belongs to early breeding products and is not represented in modern commercial seed catalogs.
The name BC 420 may be mistaken for a maturity group index, which is often used in the labeling of maize hybrids by various manufacturers.
