The Lo977 line is specialized genetic material developed for research purposes. In breeding work, it is used to improve resistance characteristics to maize dwarf mosaic virus, as well as in the study of resistance mechanisms to Fusarium ear rot.
The genetic base of the line is based on «Illinois Synthetic 60 C». This object is not intended for mass agricultural cultivation; therefore, classical agronomic descriptions, such as morphological traits or product quality indicators, are absent for it.
