Container culture — Ajania pacifica

Chrysanthemum pacificum Nakai

Growing Ajania pacifica in pots and containers as a mobile ornamental foliage plant that requires irrigation control and shrub shaping.

In the reference 6 varieties crop Pacific chrysanthemum, where this is mentioned in the description.

Container culture of Ajania pacifica involves using a well-drained substrate that prevents water stagnation, which is critical for the species' root system. In conditions of limited soil volume, irrigation is performed only after the soil ball has dried out to 80% of its depth to prevent root rot during the summer period.

To maintain a decorative, compact shape in containers, regular shoot pinching is applied throughout the entire growing season. Due to the risk of root freezing in pots, plants are moved to rooms with temperatures from +2 to +10 °C for the winter, or they are grown as an annual crop.
