Variety description

The plant is a compact subshrub or herbaceous perennial with a height of 10 to 60 cm. The main decorative value lies in the gray-green or olive-colored leaves with a characteristic silvery-white margin. Small golden-yellow discoid inflorescences (capitula) without ray florets (“buttons”) appear in late autumn.
The plant is considered undemanding, drought-tolerant, and adapted to poor soils; however, it requires good drainage, as excessive winter moisture is lethal. It is used in ornamental gardening as a groundcover plant, for border design, and for container cultivation.
