Variety description

The variety forms a bushy plant of hemispherical shape with very short and small leaves. Flowering occurs in the autumn period, usually in October-November. The variety differs from the wild species by specific morphological features of the leaves and the number of inflorescences.
The plant is a rhizomatous perennial with dark green leaves having a silvery margin and pubescence on the underside. Small yellow flowers are gathered into dense button-like inflorescences. Plant height varies from 20 to 60 cm.
The variety is moderately winter hardy, suitable for USDA zones 5–9, but sensitive to soil waterlogging in winter. The crop is resistant to sea winds and saline soils, well suited for borders, rockeries, alpine gardens, and container gardening.
