Duration of flowering characterizes the period in days during which the plant is in this phase, defining the crop's window of vulnerability to external factors. Abundance of flowering represents the quantitative or visual density of flowers on a plant, serving as an indicator of reproductive capacity and potential yield.

During variety testing, evaluation is carried out based on phenological dates, including the onset, peak, and end of flowering, as well as by using scoring scales. High scores are assigned to varieties with synchronous and uniform flowering without abnormalities, whereas low values indicate weak or uneven plant development.

These indicators are determined by the genetic characteristics of the variety, as well as by the influence of photoperiodism, temperature regime, and moisture availability.
