Cannabis sativa L.

A complex indicator reflecting the yield mass of stems, fiber, or seeds, measured in t/ha or c/ha. The level of productivity is determined by the genetic potential of the variety, the ecological type of the plant, and the chosen agrotechnology of cultivation.

Cannabis productivity is assessed through the yield of target products: total dry stem mass, seed mass, as well as long and total fiber yield. Additional characteristics include the 1000-seed weight, oil content in seeds, and technical stem length, which directly correlates with the quality of the resulting fiber.

Stem yield for varieties of the Central Russian ecotype under favorable conditions reaches 8.5–16.5 t/ha, while seed productivity varies from 0.4 to 1.8 t/ha. These indicators critically depend on the cultivation zone: differences in seed yield between steppe and dry-steppe zones can be up to two-fold.

Productivity management is carried out through seeding rates and sowing methods, which regulate plant density and the distribution of resources between vegetative mass and seeds. Crop formation efficiency is determined by the alignment of the variety with production objectives — whether for fiber, seeds, or dual-purpose production.
