Triticale productivity is a complex indicator determined by grain or green mass yield and ear structure elements. The assessment includes stand density, grain weight per ear, and 1000-grain weight, reflecting the crop's high potential due to its multi-spikelet nature.

Triticale productivity is evaluated through grain yield, adjusted to a standard moisture content of 14%, and structural parameters: the number of productive stems per 1 m², grain weight per ear, and 1000-grain weight. A characteristic biological feature of the crop is its high multi-spikelet capacity, reaching 50–60 spikelets per ear, which allows modern varieties to achieve yields exceeding 50–80 dt/ha, and in some cases, surpassing 100 dt/ha.

When assessing productivity, the interaction between genotype and environment is taken into account, dividing varieties into intensive and plastic types. In the forage production sector, productivity is additionally defined by green mass yield, reaching 21 t/ha, and nutritional value indices. Management of these parameters is carried out through the optimization of stand density and agronomic practices, including seeding rates and the application of nitrogen fertilizers.
