To ensure an objective assessment of varietal characteristics, the use of growth regulators that can artificially alter the plant's habit is not permitted.
Depending on the height, forms are classified as dwarf (up to 30–60 cm), medium (45–75 cm), and tall (90–150 cm). This indicator determines the crop's purpose: dwarf varieties are used in landscape design and as pot plants, while tall varieties are used primarily for cut flower production.
Cultivation technologies depend directly on the variety's height. Tall forms require bush shaping through side shoot removal and pinching, as well as wider spacing (50–60 cm between plants) to ensure proper light conditions. Genetically dwarf groups, such as 'multiflora', form a compact bush naturally and require a denser planting scheme.
