The variety has the trade name Happy Daydream and belongs to the Daydream series. The plant is used in landscape design for creating borders and mass plantings, and is also grown in containers. The shrub's crown is distinguished by its compactness and rounded shape.

The foliage is semi-evergreen; young shoots are colored pinkish-purple, which gradually transitions to green with a cream border. The tubular or funnel-shaped flowers are about 2 cm in size. The flowering period continues from July to October.

The plant prefers sunny or semi-shaded areas and well-drained fertile soils. Winter hardiness is estimated as corresponding to USDA zone 7b, which implies resistance to temperatures down to -7°C or -15°C depending on growing conditions.
