The variety NM-61 (also known as Verde NM-61) matures approximately 30 days earlier than the Hayward variety, which allows harvesting to begin around September 10. The fruits are characterized by medium size and the ability to maintain quality on the plant until October.

The plant possesses high resistance to biotic and abiotic stress factors. The variety is intended for commercial use as an alternative to traditional green kiwifruit varieties during plantation renewal.
