Variety description

The cultivar is a male plant; it does not produce fruit. It is a vigorous vine 3 to 10 meters in height with large cordate or oval dark green leaves. Young shoots have a reddish hue and pubescence.

Flowering occurs in May–June with large fragrant cream-white flowers 4–5 cm in diameter. The cultivar is used as a pollinator for female Actinidia deliciosa and Actinidia chinensis plants; one vine is sufficient for pollinating 3–10 female individuals given coinciding flowering periods.

The plant prefers sunny, wind-protected sites with fertile drained soil. Frost resistance is estimated as medium; it withstands temperatures down to -10…-20°C, therefore in regions with severe winters it requires covering or cultivation in greenhouses.
