The fruits have an oval shape with a beak-like tip and yellow-brown skin with short, soft hairs. The yellow flesh of the fruits possesses a distinct aroma and an increased sugar content compared to the Hayward variety.

Physiological maturity of the fruit occurs approximately a month earlier than that of the Hayward variety. The variety is characterized by high productivity; however, the fruits are more sensitive to mechanical damage during harvest and soften faster during storage, requiring careful handling.

The variety is extremely vulnerable to bacterial canker of actinidia, caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae. An outbreak of the disease led to mass mortality of plantings and the need to replace the variety with more resistant alternatives.
