Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 60–80 cm, sometimes up to 100 cm. The leaves are dark green, often with a purple hue at the base. The variety is deciduous, however, under mild climate conditions, it may show signs of being semi-evergreen.

Flowering occurs from mid to late summer. The umbel-type inflorescences consist of numerous star-shaped or bell-shaped flowers. The buds are distinguished by a bright blue color, and the petals themselves have a characteristic darker stripe in the center.

The variety possesses increased winter hardiness for deciduous species, withstanding temperature drops down to -18 °C, as well as high resistance to diseases and pests. Stiff upright peduncles allow the plant to be used for cut flowers.
