Variety description

Medium-sized plant with erect flower stalks 70 to 96 cm high. Inflorescences contain 24 to 55 flowers of a very dark, purple-black shade. Dark blue-green leaves reach 310 mm in length and about 23 mm in width, with their bases having a distinct dark purple color.

The variety is deciduous even in mild climatic conditions. Some nurseries classify it as sterile. The plant is intended for ornamental use.
