Variety description

The variety forms dense clumps of broad strap-shaped leaves of a dark green color. Erect sturdy stems bear compact hemispherical inflorescences 5 to 10 cm in diameter, consisting of tubular flowers of a deep violet-blue shade 1.5–2 cm long and 2–2.5 cm in diameter. Mature specimens are capable of producing up to 50 flower stalks.
The plant belongs to early-flowering varieties, with a flowering period occurring in mid to late summer. The variety is conditionally winter-hardy: when grown in open ground, mulching is required, and in container cultivation, relocation to a non-freezing room for the winter period. Intended for ornamental landscaping.
