The variety is a deciduous herbaceous perennial. A key feature is the decorative variegation: the leaves have a distinct cream-white silvery margin. The flowers are colored in shades from medium blue to lavender-blue, and flowering occurs from June to August.
The height of the plant's flower stalks is 45–75 cm, and the width of the bush varies from 30 to 60 cm. The variety is characterized as relatively hardy, capable of tolerating moderate winters, although in regions with harsh climates, cultivation in containers with the possibility of moving them for overwintering is recommended.
Variegation can manifest variably or be lost over time, and the intensity of leaf coloration depends on lighting conditions and ambient temperature.
