The variety has pear-shaped or teardrop-shaped bulbs with dense grey skin and pinkish-white or purplish-white flesh. Plant height is 35–45 cm. The produce has a high dry matter content and an intense flavor with garlic notes.

The plant is propagated vegetatively; commercial planting material is free from onion yellow dwarf virus. The variety is suitable for cultivation on various soil types; keeping quality of the bulbs under proper conditions is from 3 to 7 months.
