The Bellesco F1 hybrid belongs to the American onion type. The plant possesses a vigorous and healthy leaf apparatus. The bulbs have a rounded shape, a thin neck, and firm, durable bronze-brown outer scales. Size grading is characterized as uniform, from medium to large sizes.

The variety is intended for open field cultivation and is suitable for medium-term storage. An important characteristic is high resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora destructor). Available in standard seed form and as material for organic vegetable production.
