The variety is autochthonous to the Fuentes de Ebro region and adapted to specific alluvial soils. Bulbs are globe-shaped or rounded; the weight of a marketablespecimen varies from 100–200 g to 400–500 g. Outer scales are straw-white or yellowish-white; inner layers are white.
The plant has vigorous foliage and belongs to a mid-early development cycle. The flesh is distinguished by a tender, crunchy texture, high water content, low levels of sulfur compounds, and natural sweetness. The variety is intended for fresh market sales and short-term storage.
