The variety forms foliage that lodges upon maturity. The leaves do not coarsen for a long time, which allows the plant to be used for obtaining early greens. The variety is not suitable for long-term storage; consumption in fresh form or canning of small bulbs is recommended.
The plant possesses resistance to diseases and pests, as well as a certain winter hardiness, allowing it to withstand light frosts. When sown densely, it forms very small bulbs.
