The Expression F1 variety is an intermediate-day Spanish-type onion. It is characterized by yellow scales and is an independent variety, differing in its biological characteristics from popular late-maturing varieties such as Exhibition.
The Exhibition variety is late-maturing, with a vegetation period of 140 to 160 days. The plant has high growth vigor, forming large round or round-flattened bulbs weighing up to 900–1000 g with golden-brown outer scales and juicy white inner scales.
The Exhibition variety is intended for fresh consumption, possesses a sweet taste without bitterness, and has resistance to Fusarium and root rot. The produce is suitable for short-term storage for a period of up to 3–5 months. Cultivation is possible both by seedling method and direct sowing.
