The variety belongs to the extra-early group and is also known under the names De Malakoff and Extra-hâtif parisien. It is grown to produce young onions, which are most often consumed fresh in salads and sold in bunches.
To obtain an early harvest, it is recommended to sow seeds in February-March in trays at a temperature of about 20°C, followed by pricking out into individual containers under protected cultivation.
