Hungarian breeding samples of the Favorit variety are characterized by erect leaves and a pronounced waxy bloom. At the same time, in the Russian segment, this variety is described as mid-season, intended for cultivation as an annual crop from seeds.
Bulbs of the Russian type of the Favorit variety have a rounded shape, a weight from 60 to 80 g, three to four layers of brown dry scales, and white, greenish-tinted succulent scales. The name is widely used as a commercial one, therefore, for identification, verification with current registers of breeding achievements is necessary.
