The Extra Early Gold F1 hybrid is intended for the fresh market and for green onion production. The vegetation period ranges from 240 to 260 days. The plant possesses high growth vigor and forms dark green foliage.
The bulbs have a round or round-oval shape and a weight from 130 to 160 grams, reaching 200–250 grams under certain conditions. The inner scales are succulent and white in color, with a dry matter content of about 10%. The onion is suitable for storage for up to 90 days.
The hybrid possesses good winter hardiness, high resistance to early bolting, and tolerance to pink root rot. Sowing after August 20 is recommended; protection against pests and powdery mildew is required.
