The Romi variety is mid-early, the period from emergence to harvest is 75–85 days. The bulbs have a round shape, a weight of 90–110 g, dark-red dry scales and reddish succulent scales. The leaf height is about 30 cm; the variety is characterized as having a low number of growing points.
The variety has a high yield, which is 232–368 c/ha in commercial production or 3–4 kg per 1 m². It is distinguished by good maturation, reaching 100% before harvest, and high keeping quality for storage until spring. Purpose is universal: fresh consumption, pickling, and cooking.
