The variety was obtained by methods of individual and mass selection from local Lithuanian populations. Intended both for producing marketablebulbs for fresh consumption, storage, and processing, and for cultivation for greens. Sowing seeds into the soil or cultivation via sets is permitted.
The bulbs are of medium size, with individual specimens reaching 120 g. The variety possesses good keeping quality during winter storage. The plant is adapted to a temperate climate and local soil conditions.
