Bianca agostana di Chioggia, sometimes referred to as Bianca agostana di Chioggia-Serbo, is a local Italian variety from the Chioggia region. The bulbs have a spherical shape, thin skin, and a silvery-white color of both dry and succulent scales.
The variety belongs to the mid-late maturity group and the long-day photoperiod. The produce has good keeping quality and is suitable for long-term storage. The flavor is characterized as sweet and mild, without pronounced pungency.
It is used for fresh consumption, in salads and sandwiches, as well as for processing. In early sowings, it can be used for green onion production.
