The variety is early-maturing or ultra-early; marketable greens can be harvested 35–45 days after emergence. The plant practically does not form a full-sized bulb, developing only a small thickening 2–3 cm in diameter, and reaches a height of 40–60 cm.
The leaves are dark green, upright, and tender, possessing a pleasant semi-sharp taste. The variety is cold-hardy, suitable for cultivation in open and protected ground, as well as in indoor conditions. Due to its rapid growth, it is often used for staggered cultivation.
