The variety is a landrace and has long been included in plant genetic resource conservation programs. The bulbs are distinguished by a high dry matter content in the range of 14% to 21% and sugar content within 9–10%.
Morphologically, the variety is defined by a bulb shape index of 0.5 to 0.6. The variety possesses excellent long-term storage capacity; however, precise data on its maturity group, plant height, and resistance to pathogens are not recorded in publications.
