The variety belongs to the species Allium cepa, but is used exclusively for green onion production. At standard planting density, the plant does not form a large bulb; only in rare cases with sparse planting does a small thickening with a diameter of 2–3 cm form.
The plant is ultra-early, with a time to marketable maturity of 35–45 days, and stem height reaches 40–60 cm. The leaves are dark green, upright, with a mild to semi-sharp taste, and do not become coarse for a long time. The variety is characterized by cold hardiness and good bolting resistance.
