The Yula variety is an intermediate-day hybrid. The plant forms nearly globe-shaped bulbs. During agronomic trials, resistance to thrips damage was noted for this variety.

The product is intended for sale on the fresh market and short-term storage. The variety was bred using inbred lines obtained at agricultural experimental stations.
