The variety forms a cylindrical false stem and has large lanceolate leaves of a dark green or blue-green color, sometimes slightly crinkled. The blanched part of the plant reaches 3–4 cm in diameter and possesses a delicate, mildly pungent, sweetish taste.

The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness, resistance to bolting, and the ability to tolerate cold, which allows for harvesting during the autumn-winter period. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption and stewing, as well as for preparing soups.

A seedling method is recommended for cultivation. To obtain a high-quality blanched stem section, planting in furrows or trenches with subsequent hilling is used. The variety prefers fertile and well-drained soils.
