The variety is early and suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. The plant forms long, graceful white "false" stems 50–65 cm in length and about 2–5 cm in diameter. The leaves are narrow, long, light green in color, and arranged upright.

The variety is sensitive to severe frost, however, it is capable of withstanding light autumn frosts. Due to its recognizable morphological traits, it is often used as a reference sample in agronomic research.
