The variety is a very robust plant with thick pseudo-stems (shanks) and dark green leaves. The plant is characterized by slow growth, dense leaf arrangement, and a strong waxy bloom on them.

Due to its high cold tolerance, the variety is suitable for cultivation in regions with mild climates, where it is left in the beds for subsequent harvesting in winter and spring months.
