The plant forms powerful false stems 20–25 cm in length with large blue-green leaves. The variety is also known by the name «Yates Empire 2» and is synonymous with the «D'hiver 2» type.
The variety is distinguished by high resistance to cold and diseases. Plants are capable of remaining in the field until the end of winter, which allows for their use in cooking during the winter period.
