The variety is also known by the names Štrigon, Rijav štrigon, and Štrigun crveni. The plant possesses a moderate number of upright dark green leaves, which are characterized by medium length and width. The pseudostem has medium width and weakly expressed red coloration.

The variety is intended for cultivation in the autumn period. It is currently included in garlic genetic resource collections and is classified as a horticultural crop used in cooking.
