The variety forms a large root vegetable of pear-shaped or rounded form, possessing white flesh. The plant is distinguished by a developed upright leaf rosette on long petioles with a strongly dissected leaf blade.
The variety belongs to late-maturing types and is traditionally cultivated in the countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe. In international classification, it may be found under the name Prager Riesen.
