ActiveApium graveolens L. · Celery
Bejo Zaden, NL
10 August 2026
The period from emergence to harvest ranges from 85 to 180 days depending on conditions. The plant forms a vigorous rosette with a height of 40 to 100 cm. The stalks are dark green in color and have a mild taste, requiring no obligatory hilling to obtain a high-quality product.
The variety possesses resistance to celery western mosaic virus and brown checking of stalks. The plant is thermophilic, sensitive to frosts, and prone to premature bolting at low temperatures.
Prefers humus-rich, moist, and well-tilled soils. The seeds are slow to germinate and require light, so they should not be deeply buried in the soil during sowing.
