The plant reaches a height of 45 to 70 cm and has dark green leaves. The fleshy stalks are distinguished by a tender texture, the absence of coarse fibers, and good taste qualities. Use of the variety does not require an obligatory blanching process, although it is possible to obtain a milder flavor.
The period from emergence to harvest is 90 to 120 days; depending on growing conditions, it may increase to 160–180 days. The variety shows resistance to bolting, brown spot, and also possesses cold tolerance and drought tolerance. It is used for fresh consumption and as an ingredient in dishes.
