Plants of the VALENCIJA group have an upright growth habit and reach a height of 40–60 cm. A characteristic feature is the elongated pods, which usually contain three or more seeds. The seeds themselves are relatively small in size and have a bright red testa.
Peanuts of this type possess a naturally sweet taste and are used for the production of peanut butter, as well as consumed in roasted or boiled form. Maturation periods vary depending on the specific varieties belonging to this group.
