The Boonlim variety is a hybrid (F1) of Asparagus officinalis. The plant produces very thick spears that have a spicy flavor. In terms of sex type, the hybrid can be male or female.

The variety is characterized as mid-early and is suitable for growing both white and green asparagus. It can be cultivated in areas where asparagus has been grown previously, as the variety shows acceptable results under such conditions.

The plant shows lower susceptibility to gray mold (Botrytis). During field trials, the incidence of stem infection with Fusarium was assessed as insignificant.
