The variety is a historical legacy and was formed on the basis of the Dutch breeding Violetter Hollandischer. The plant is perennial, forming a tall bush with thin needle-like cladodes. It belongs to early varieties with early emergence of spears.

The produce is intended primarily for growing etiolated white spears, which are valued for their delicate taste. When exposed to light, the tips acquire a purple or green hue with nutty notes. The variety is considered universal for private gardening, although it is rarely found in commercial circulation.
