An early-ripening white asparagus hybrid forming uniform spears 15–20 cm in length weighing 80–120 g. The spear tip is tightly closed, the flesh has a delicate yellowish-white hue and is distinguished by the absence of coarse fibers.
The plant has an upright growth habit, which provides better foliage aeration. The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to rust and root rot, as well as moderate resistance to Fusarium.
The produce is versatile in use and suitable for sale fresh, for canning, and for freezing. In technical documentation, the variety is also referred to by the breeding number Bejo 2988.
