The plant forms a vigorous bush 90–160 cm tall. The spears are characterized by their thickness, tenderness, and a distinctive pinkish-purple hue at the tips. The variety exhibits winter hardiness, drought tolerance, and disease resistance.

When hilled with a soil layer of at least 25 cm, the variety yields blanched produce. Without hilling, the spears grow green with purple tips and possess a more intense flavor. Harvesting begins in the third year after sowing.

The plant prefers sunny sites with fertile sandy soils, while not tolerating high acidity or waterlogging. The crop is long-lived and, with proper care, can produce yields for many years.
